TECH NEEDS GIRLS

Tech Needs Girls is a movement and a mentorship program to get more women & girls to create technology. Their mission is mentoring women & girls to lead and innovate through learning to code,

They have trained 4500 girls in their Tech Needs Girls program with 200 mentors who are all either computer scientist or engineers. They serve as mentors and role models and teach the girls to code. Tech Needs Girls is currently working with girls from the slum and ensuring that each girl gets to go to university instead of being forced into early marriage.

They want to bridge the gender gap and have more girls studying and pursuing careers in technology. Training women and girls in the Tech Needs Girls program is for them to start business. Source: www.soronkoacademy.com
